Adaptive Cruise Control† (ACC)

The adaptive cruise control (ACC) with low-speed follow has taken the conventional cruise control system and enhanced its benefits to the driver. Using an advanced radar system hidden discretely behind the front grilled, the ACC is engineered to allow the MDX to independently follow the car in front at a set distance, starting and stopping appropriately with the flow of traffic.

Lane Departure Warning (LDW)†* System

Should your Acura begin to drift out of its lane without a turning signal being applied, the Lane Departure Warning system is designed to alert the driver. This connection between the car and the road is achieved through an onboard camera that is designed to monitor the vehicle's lane position at all times.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)†*

The Acura Lane Keeping Assist System builds on conventional lane departure systems to work proactively to help keep the vehicle inside the lane during normal driving conditions. If the car begins to cross lane markings unintentionally, the system is engineered to apply light steering torque to return the vehicle to the centre of the lane while a continuous beep alerts the driver.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW)†* System

The standard Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system uses a camera located between the windshield and rearview mirror that is engineered to alert you if it determines that your Acura may collide with a vehicle detected in front of it. If your vehicle speed is above 15 kilometers per hour and it determines a collision is possible, it is designed to warn you with audible alerts and a flashing amber "BRAKE" warning light on the Multi-Information Display.

Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS)†

The standard Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CBMS™) warning was developed to reduce the likelihood of a frontal collision. The system is designed to alert the driver of a potential collision and take steps to help mitigate the severity of a frontal collision if the system determines it to be unavoidable.

Blind Spot Information (BSI) System†

Your Acura expands your field of vision by providing information about vehicles that are in, or about to enter your blind spot when you're passing, being passed, merging, or changing lanes. The available Blind Spot Information system uses radar technology that is designed to detect objects moving as slow as 10 km/h.

Cross Traffic Monitor System†

The Cross Traffic Monitor system incorporates Blind Spot Radar engineered to help detect approaching vehicles on either side of your Acura. Should a vehicle be detected in your blind spot area, this system is designed to provide an audible alert and display a warning, along with a view from the standard multi-angle rearview camera.

Benefits: The Cross Traffic Monitor is incredibly convenient when backing out of parking spaces with an obstructed view, such as at a shopping centre. The system will alert the driver if another vehicle is approaching down the aisle while they are reversing.
